Recipe: Autumn Apple Spiced Wine
The perfect beverage to serve your Thanksgiving or Christmas guests while they wait on dinner.
750mL bottle of red wine
1/4 cup apple powder
2 Tbls. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
~ Whisk together all ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
~ Strain mixture through multiple layers of cheesecloth or a coffee filter in a sieve.
~ Serve hot or cold (your preference) with a cinnamon stick as a garnish.
