Recipe: Parmesan Pesto Sauce for Pasta
Super fast and easy, yet sinful and savory. Tastes great over any pasta or
ravioli, as well as grilled chicken breasts and shrimp.
2 Tbls. butter
2 Tbls. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1/2 cup Parmesan
Powder
2 Tbls. basil pesto
1 tsp. granulated garlic OR garlic powder
1/2 tsp. black
pepper
1 splash Worcestershire sauce OR 1/8 tsp. Worcestershire sauce powder
1 splash hot sauce OR 1/4 tsp. hot sauce
powder
~ In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter; stir in flour; cook,
stirring constantly, for 30 seconds.
~ Slowly whisk in milk, and then whisk in Parmesan Powder until no lumps remain.
~ Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5-10
minutes.
~ Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients.
~ Season with salt before serving.
